About The Great Angels Choir

Great Angels Choir started in 1984 as a church choir within the Church of African Presbytery (CAP). In the year 2000 the Choir started thinking of releasing an album and in 2005 the first album called MUNDIFUNGATIRE was released. The album has 10 tracks and was produced by Joseph Tembo. In 2006 the Choir released DVD of MUNDIFUNGATIRE album. On the market MUNDIFUNGATIRE sold only 30,000 tapes.

In 2007 the Choir released another album called GWIRENI DZANJA which also has 10 tracks. GWIRENI DZANJA sold more than 120,000 in both tapes and CDs. A DVD was later released. GWIRENI DZANJA became a household name with hit tracks such as PAINE NDEKHA SINDINGATHE.

Mission Statement

The Great Angels Choir is called to glorify God through a unique ministry of music which draws people into a new and deeper relationship with Him.

We believe:

  • The Holy Scriptures as originally given by God divinely inspired, infallible, entirely trustworthy and the only supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct.
  • Our Lord Jesus Christ, God manifest in the flesh, His virgin birth, His sinless human life, His divine miracles, His ascension, His mediatorial work, and His personal return in power and glory.
  • The salvation of lost and sinful man through the shed blood of the Lord Jesus Christ by faith apart from works, and regeneration by the Holy Spirit.
  • The Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the believer is enabled to live a holy life to witness and work for the Lord Jesus Christ.
  • The unity in the Spirit of all true believers, the Church, the body of Christ.

Where can we buy the DVDs?
There are some people who can not patronise these places… can you think of some shows in places like Capital Hotel, BICC.. even if its 3,000 or more per head, there is still a category of people that can attend such shows… just free advice for your marketing section!

    As a Choir it has always been our trust and faith in God first. Secondly, the Choir maintains a dedicated, talented and inspired team that continues to grow and move forward. Thirdly, our passion to preach to the masses has helped the Choir to stay focused on songs that appeal more to people and offer messages of hope and salvation.

  • Where do you see yourselves in the next 3 - 5 years? +

    The Choir is still growing. Having made our online presence a reality, the Choir is looking forward to a time when its messages can be accessed globally, and to appear on the international scene. We truly believe that more people will have been reached with these messages of hope and salvation.

    Our appreciation go to all our fans, friends and the like. This is a great honour for us when the people recognize us as such ...

  • What is the organisation of the choir? +

    The Great Angels Choir has Music Directors and managers who coordinate its work and performances.
